Training Philosophy
Anthony believes that every dog is capable of becoming an incredible partner when trained with patience, clarity, and positive energy. His methods prioritize positive reinforcement, balanced with calm leadership and structure. He rejects force-based tactics, focusing instead on cooperation, communication, and building trust. For Anthony, there is no such thing as a dog that “can’t be trained”—with the right guidance, every dog can grow, improve, and thrive.
Inspiration
After completing his military service, Anthony was offered an opportunity to work with service dogs—a role that ignited a deep passion for dog training. Witnessing firsthand how trained dogs could transform the lives of individuals with disabilities pushed him to explore canine behavior on a deeper level. That experience became the foundation for his commitment to helping both working dogs and family companions reach their full potential.
Professional Experience
Anthony is a retired U.S. Air Force K9 handler and trainer, with 10 years of military experience working with German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois in explosive and narcotics detection, advanced obedience, and patrol procedures. After an on-duty injury led to his retirement, Anthony transitioned into service dog training through a nonprofit organization supporting disabled veterans. Under the guidance of a Master Trainer, he participated in programs focused on mobility and balance assistance, PTSD and anxiety response, pressure therapy, advanced and basic obedience, and task-specific training for both adult and child handlers. He holds certifications with the AKC for all CGC testing, along with breed-specific specialties for Doberman Pinschers and German Shepherds, and maintains his credentials as a U.S. Air Force–certified K9 Handler/Trainer. Anthony also specializes in rehabilitation training, helping dogs overcome behavioral challenges through structured, supportive methods.
Training Focus
Anthony’s strongest interests lie in service dog task training and behavioral rehabilitation. While he has extensive background in military K9 work, it’s his passion for helping service dogs and challenging behavioral cases that truly drives him. His work is always tailored to the individual dog, ensuring training meets their specific needs and goals.
