Training Philosophy
Lizmar believes that every dog is an individual, and successful training begins with finding the right tools and training plan for that specific dog. Her approach is centered on creating a positive, empowering experience that supports both the dog and their handler. She believes that training should be about more than teaching skills—it should also build trust, strengthen communication, and make learning enjoyable. By tailoring her approach to each dog’s unique needs, Lizmar strives to help every team grow together, one paw at a time.
Inspiration
Lizmar’s journey into dog training began with a love for animals and a passion for helping dogs learn through fun, connection, and trust. Her interest started while helping her mom train foster dogs and teaching tricks to their personal dogs. As she gained experience, that passion grew into a deeper commitment when she began training her own medical alert and mobility assistance service dog. Through these experiences, Lizmar discovered how powerful the bond between a dog and their handler can be. Today, she is passionate about helping others build meaningful partnerships with their dogs, whether they are preparing for service work or simply looking to strengthen their everyday connection.
Professional Experience
Lizmar has hands-on experience training dogs in a variety of areas, with a particular focus on service dog foundations, task training, and trick training. Her experience includes working with medical alert and response dogs, mobility assistance dogs, and psychiatric assistance dogs. She also works with puppies and family dogs on essential skills such as potty training, housebreaking, and basic obedience. Lizmar is committed to continuing to develop her knowledge and finding effective, individualized ways to help each dog and handler succeed.
Training Focus
Lizmar is especially passionate about service dog training, including mobility assistance, medical alert and response, and psychiatric assistance work. She also enjoys trick training, believing that play and shared activities are an important part of building a strong relationship between dogs and their people. In addition to service work, Lizmar has a strong interest in basic through advanced obedience, puppy foundations, and potty training. She enjoys helping dogs develop practical skills while giving owners the confidence to continue training at home.
