Inspiration
My journey into dog training began about four years ago when my husband and I adopted a German Shepherd who had suffered severe abuse. He came to us with intense behavioral issues, and helping him heal was both a challenge and a turning point. Not long after, we adopted a Belgian Malinois who was also struggling behaviorally. I took on a more active role in his rehabilitation, and through countless hours of study, hands-on training, and perseverance, both dogs—Fitz and Arlo—transformed into confident, well-balanced companions. Today, they even assist us in helping other dogs work through their challenges. Their progress lit a fire in me to help more dogs and families experience that kind of success.
Professional Experience
For the past four years, I’ve been training alongside my husband, working with dogs of varying ages, temperaments, and challenges. Over time, I discovered a particular passion for working with puppies and adolescent dogs, helping them navigate the world with confidence and clarity. To support this work, I’ve completed multiple certification courses through Leerburg University, focusing on puppy development and basic to intermediate obedience training. My hands-on experience combined with formal education continues to shape the trainer I am today.
Training Focus
I love working with younger dogs—puppies and adolescents—who are at a critical point in their development. Guiding them through this life stage, building foundational behaviors, and preventing long-term issues is incredibly rewarding. That said, I also enjoy helping dogs with behavioral struggles, especially those that need support learning how to trust, listen, and thrive in home environments.
Training Philosophy
My training philosophy centers around positive reinforcement and confidence-building. I believe that with kindness, consistency, and clear communication, dogs can become obedient, self-assured, and prepared to live peacefully in our busy world. Every dog deserves a chance to succeed, and I see training as the key to unlocking that potential.
